Do you have the right execution size?

A company with forty five people might be doing very well. The same business with seventy might be on its way to bankruptcy.

An HR-department with six might offer good service at market price. The same department with eleven might take your profit margins in the red zone.

Organisations have size platforms; an ideal size for the business volume they generate. Over the years I have learned that companies or divisions don’t grow in a linear way. They take jumps, going from one size platform to another.

And as long as you jump right, you thrive.

The next time you struggle with strategy execution challenges, take a moment to think about scale. You might have miscalculated your jump and either landed short or too far.
