“To enhance our competitive position in growth markets and protect us against eroding margins and demand fluctuations, we are going to leverage our new distribution capabilities” sounds great when you want to impress someone after a few drinks in the bar. And it might actually summarise your strategy. But it won’t create much excitement to get your people moving in the right direction.
